International beers - especially those coming from outside of Europe - can be quite difficult to find in the local scene. While it is vital to support and promote your local breweries, I do enjoy drinking around and checking out what other parts of the globe have to offer. This one in particular almost convinced me to buy a one-way ticket to Canada (if only there weren't so many moose…).
What: Sour ale with toasted coconut, pineapple and lactose
Who: Collective Arts Brewing (Canada)
Where: Beer District Port, Nice
When: January 2020.
Why? A true piña colada cocktail in a nicely designed beer can. Strong coconut flavours with a refreshing hint of pineapple, all wrapped in a thick creamy blanket.
